PRAYER ROOM
PRAYER ROOM
Thanks to our Global Mission Team, we are excited to re-open our Prayer Room at Anthem Hayden! This space was put together to be a place where we can pray, praise, and worship our living God by ourselves or with others. Register for an hour time slot to come lift our missionaries, unreached people groups, our church, community, and to spend time with Jesus.

WHAT IS A PRAYER ROOM?
Thanks to our Tree of Life discipleship study, we know the importance of having spiritual disciplines in our lives. We are excited to be opening our Prayer Room to provide a special place for you to practice the disciplines of prayer, praise, and worship.
WHY PRAYER?
WHY PRAISE?
WHY WORSHIP?
In simple terms, prayer is a conversation with God. As with any healthy relationship, communication should be honest and sincere. God doesn’t desire for you to act better than you are. He values transparency and vulnerability, not religious jargon, and well-constructed sentences. As with any relationship or meaningful conversation, don’t talk incessantly - take time to listen too! The conversation is a two-way street.
Praise is simply acknowledging and expressing gratitude for all that God has done - whether that be a magnificent sunset, the gift of salvation, or anything in between. Praise allows our hearts and minds to focus on the innumerable blessings we have rather than that which we do not. Praise is a powerful antidote to common human ailments such as greed, covetousness, and dejection. Choosing gratitude rather than greed dispels a bitter heart which inevitably develops insatiable and innumerable unmet desires. Deciding to praise reorients our entire being to a posture of gratitude for what we already have, acknowledging the magnitude and immense worth of the blessings that God has already given us.
Worship, on the other hand, is the attitude and act of appreciating who God is. For example, I praise God for the beauty of North Idaho’s mountains, and I worship Him for being an incredible Creator. Whereas praise is grounded in gratitude, worship is rooted in love. Like the oldies song says, “To know him is to love him.” Worship turns our focus away from ourselves and toward Him who is perfect. Therefore, true worship is God-centered and not self-seeking, because genuine worship focuses upon and elevates God above self and all else. Our hearts, minds, and bodies may worship in innumerable ways, and it is our joy to discover more and more of the infinite possibilities to cherish and worship our Lord, who is Alpha and Omega.
WORSHIP IS THE GOAL
John Piper summarizes it best: “Therefore, worship is the goal and the fuel of missions: Worship is ultimate, not missions, because God is ultimate, not man. When this age is over, and the countless millions of the redeemed fall on their faces before the throne of God, missions will be no more. It is a temporary necessity. But worship abides forever. Worship, therefore, is the fuel and goal of missions.” That is why our Global Mission Team felt the need to provide this space to the church body to reach the nations since we can Go, Send, Support, and Pray for missions.
